Tracey is an entrepreneur in Cape Town that is focused on child care and sustainable farming! She and her sons run their nursery/educational farm in Brackenfall. They aim to provide an educational opportunity for families to learn about sustainable farming methods through their childcare as well as educational events for adults.
Problem - Why they needed an asset?
Having been born and raised in South Africa, Tracey was aware of the challenges that the country faces with water and energy conservation. The large amount of water needed in the farming process led Tracey to research how she could lessen her impact on the environment while still growing her business.
Outcome
Tracey and Interlude reached out to Mutualism to help purchase hydroponic farming machines to help grow their plants. The hydroponics farming system allows for Interlude to save 90% of the water that was being used in previous farming methods.
